Join the City of Albuquerque and get into the holiday spirit. Be entertained by local performers that fill the streets as you check off your holiday shopping list. The celebrations will continue throughout the month with shopping specials and entertainment in the Gazebo. Bring the family to discover new stores, visit familiar staples, and continue the tradition in the beautifully illuminated heart of Albuquerque.
Lighting of the Tree
Bring family and loved ones to Historic Old Town to experience the tradition. The Lighting Ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. and end with a countdown to a cheerful and bright display. This year’s ceremony will be emceed by KRQE Morning Show’s Stephanie Chavez, David Romero, and Erica Meyer.
Sip hot chocolate and enjoy live entertainment throughout Old Town and on the Gazebo as local musicians and dance groups bring holiday cheer to your strolling experience.

Other performances throughout the event include Something Major A Cappella, Burying Caesar, Manzano Day School Red Hot Peppers Jump Rope Team, Chelwood Elementary School, Eldorado High School Choir, and Enchanters Chorus ABQ.
Take a stroll through Old Town to enjoy the festivities throughout the area, including 20th Celebration at Explora Science Center and Children’s Museum of Albuquerque, Albuquerque Museum, and New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science. Museums will be open for free to the public from 5-9 p.m. with specials and entertainment.
20th Celebration at Explora Science Center and Children’s Museum of Albuquerque will be open during Old Town Holiday Stroll, including the gift shop. Festivities in the museum will include mini luminarias, hot cocoa, and biscochitos.
Albuquerque Museum will remain open for the duration of the Old Town Holiday Stroll. Guests can make holiday-inspired works of art, listen to music by Mineral Hill, and browse the Museum galleries. Shop the Museum Store for all of your holiday gift needs.

Shop ’til you drop! Support local and enjoy more than 80 local businesses while in Old Town for everything from beautiful paintings and jewelry to souvenirs, salsa, and much more. Visit shops, restaurants and galleries while in Historic Old Town. Stroll through plazas and get one-of-a-kind gifts, souvenirs, and more.

The Knights of Columbus will be selling food in the San Felipe de Neri Church patio. Stop by for a tasty bowl of posole or green chile stew. Cash only!
