Join Amapola Gallery in celebrating Kelly McIntyre and Pam Troutman as our July Featured Artists. Their show, Painted Wings and Beaded Bling, will run through July.
Painter Kelly McIntyre is the Wing woman of the show, and she is a master of ink. Kelly runs a wash of colored ink over white paper, and follows with detailed drawings of insects. From a family of artists, Kelly admires the design quality of insects and explores their curves and angles using colored inks to make bold, intense statements. The results are meditative, calming and distinctive.
Jeweler Pam Troutman’s beaded bling is the result of a studio art academic background and years of producing maps and charts professionally. Pam cuts loose with color and line combined with a strong sense of structure, incorporating unusual and vintage materials. She is a full-service beader whose wearable art ranges from zipper pulls to necklaces, earrings, bracelets and more, including custom work.
