Amapola September Featured Artists

Brenda Bowman and A. Tidrow Connely bring you “Earthly Visions” in their September Featured Artist presentation at Old Town’s Amapola Gallery.

Jeweler Bowman’s work provides everyday elegance whatever your style. Her bold use of color is complemented by a line of lovely pearl necklaces and earrings. Since 1994 she has studied and explored a variety of jewelry-making techniques and materials, and all add greater dimension to the pieces she is inspired to create. The semi-precious stones Bowman utilizes turn earth’s gems into wearable visions.

Tidrow Connely says, “My work, whether in acrylic, watercolor or clay, is inspired by the colors, scenery and unrivaled sunsets of the Southwest.” Brenda Bowman’s love of color finds its match here. Connely paints stunning sunsets, bright cactus and autumn gold cottonwoods. Her ceramic friendship bowls and women’s bowls celebrate the unity of humanity in this time of separatism. Included here are her ceramic sculptures of cactus, roadrunners and truly charming quail.
